Music Question For 10..!

Ok, friends list, question for you, I'm sat here listening to Kings of Leon's latest album that Toni downloaded as part of our Leeds Festival 2009 playlist and it is fucking atrocious..! A load of dreary, plodding mumbled shite!

I don't hate indie music (I loved the Maximo Park album I hadn't previously heard earlier) so why is this so popular? Answers please!
