So, the weekend of Glastonbury was a narrow escape as far as Swinton was concerned as the Lions went down to a 6-28 home defeat to third placed Blackpool Panthers.
The route to the play offs looks tricky at least, Swinton lie seventh, in the last play off place, just a point ahead of eighth placed South Wales Scorpions with only five games remaining - Oldham (a) who are second, then York (h) who are fourth, Rochdale (a) who are fifth before sixth placed Workington (a) and finally bottom of the table Gateshead (h) to finish, we probably need 8 points from those fixtures and hope that South Wales don't have an impressive run in.
