The Remote Part And Other Fine Albums..!
Nov. 8th, 2014 10:24 pmIt's been a very good week in many ways, having a chilled out weekend as there's so much coming up in future weekends... Apart from getting up at 5.30AM to watch England unfortunately lose to New Zealand in the rugby league round Stevo's this morning, my nephew Harrison's birthday party then the fireworks display round Michael's earlier on. Actually, that's quite busy, isn't it?!
The Counselling Course is going well, I found out that I passed the actual skills bit in the lesson on Monday and in work I've applied for the training to do a Social Work course and jobs to be a Support Worker in recent weeks, it feels like the opportunities are coming and I have the confidence and support to go for them from Toni. Plus, there's the security of working for a Council in the latter two cases too, which is double reassuring!
You're soon going to start seeing posts of this year's Nanowrimo, after a slow start (and stupidly leaving reading all the preceding chapters I've written till November), I'm up and running! I wrote 2,200 words last night, hope to write more tonight and during the day off tomorrow.
With the operation coming up and two months potentially off on full sick pay after that, I've got more holiday than it seems. I'll get to tinker with the novel during that too. There will be nothing wrong with my hands or brain, just the lower torso. So, I'm definitely looking at all the positives here!
There are also many good gigs coming up, I realise that I'm so lucky to live so close to Manchester and can easily travel to Leeds, Sheffield or Liverpool on the rare occasions that Mancunia is left off of the tour.
Especially good news is the return of these guys:

I excitedly snapped up tickets for me and Vausey for them in March, if you have a spare 39 minutes with no music, you could do a WHOLE lot worse!
