Statistically Massively Unlikely..!
Mar. 11th, 2015 11:51 pmI just need to use the plans learnt in the 'Fear Of Flying' course. 5 deaths per million people under general anaesthetic, which is 1 in 200,000. This includes people who are morbidly obese getting open heart surgery and other major procedures on people twice my age, who smoke forty a day. Realistically, keyhole hip surgery is safe.
I've also had some lovely advice from many great friends, including mates who've had hip operations done themselves, a couple who are/have been nurses and one bud studying Podiatry. Tomorrow will be about keeping calm, falling asleep, waking up and then nomming lots and lots of food!
See you on the other side, folks!
