Nearly a week on and I'm still struggling to believe this game actually occurred! Swinton should have been out of it, had York converted any of their tries, the drop goals wouldn't have even been a factor in the equation and they would have been through.
Although having said that, it was only a collapse by York the week before versus Barrow that handed Swinton a home tie in the final eliminator. The Lions having been comfortably beaten when visiting the City Knights earlier in the season.
Then, to win it with such composure, was remarkable. As much as I re-read the statistics in the last paragraph, I still have a niggling feeling that we will blow tomorrow in the final, four wins out of four over Keighley in 2015, easy, right? This is Swinton we're talking about.
The nerves have started...
