Just Really Tough Conversations, Aren't They.?!

Anyone ever told a pal that their over-the-top intensity around any potential partner is the reason why they aren't in a long-term relationship? How did it go? It's just a really hard thing to bring up (and entirely subjective too!)

So, I wondered if anyone here has tried telling a friend? Or have you even been informed by a buddy that you drive people away somehow? Alternatively, how you would go about it if you did have to tell a mate of yours'? No right or wrong answers, I just wanted to read some thoughts on it.
