zunjine 's house for thelma_viaduct 's birthday in August! Mind you, I've still got a Leeds Festival review half written and that's before we get to the epic work in progress, my Nanowrimo..!
I digress, the idea I came up with was, what if all scallies were gay and hence could not procreate and breed the next generation of scallies? Would weeding out the 'worst' in this way necessarily improve the country?
Or is the behaviour, ambitions and personality traits of the British public on a permanent downward spiral as people compete to be the next Jade Goody? Who cares if you are talented as long as you try/cry a lot!
There's a question of nature over nurture..!
A more disturbing possibility is if they find the alleged 'gay gene'* and they could then play with DNA in babies. Could they prevent people and then hence groups or even races from breeding by making all their progeny homosexual? Or am I insane?
Things that we do today could only be dreamt of as little as thirty years ago. We've gone from a computer in every university to a computer chip in every home and even pocket in forty years, who knows what will be happening in 2049?
Call me a cynic but it didn't take us long to misuse decent inventions like catapults, laser beams and especially, local government for bad! How long before DNA is used against humans as a weapon?
