Thank You Westminster...The BNP Are In..!
Jun. 8th, 2009 02:17 amI couldn't resist watching the European Election results come in since I'm not in work till 12.30 and after all, what could be more fun than watching politicians squirm..?!
Given what I've just seen, I can't completely express how embarrassed, worried and dumbfounded I am that Nick Griffin and his BNP* party now have 2 Euro MEPs including one in my region, the North West:

If politicians fail to do their jobs, the people will look for alternatives. They are to blame as much as we, the voting public are, probably more so. The BNP are not forcing people at gunpoint to the selection booths, they are choosing of their own volition for politicians who they believe will do their jobs properly and improve Britain.

I hope this is a wake up call, particularly with far right wing parties also winning in other parts of Europe tonight. I really hope they look at themselves as well as us.
*For those who don't know, the British National Party are an extreme right wing party, essentially fascist in nature, who have outright racist policies and include holocaust disbelievers and policies based on ethnic exclusion embedded into their manifesto.
