So yes, Toni was up till 6.30AM last Wednesday night, the second week this has occurred on the bounce! This week it'll be an allegedly (early) 2AM finish but only because their episode isn't as showstopping as last week, which she is upset about and while it's great to have her back earlier, I obviously have mixed feelings about why.
Speaking of work, I've basically given up on most of the people I'm training with, I just have nothing in common with them, they've taken an obvious dislike to me or in one case, they appear to be actively looking for another job and are going through the motions by showing up!
At least Phil is still here (until he strained a muscle in his back earlier this week) and I get along well with another Geoff, who is one of the trainers. We all manage to have a few jokes and our sense of humour isn't quite on everyone's wavelength, I'm just hoping that most of the other 6 in the group I get put on different teams from and don't have to bother with much!
Friday night was unusual, as Toni went out and I stayed in, which partly due to finances and partly due to the wonderful Leeds-St Helens game, so it was perfectly alright with me!
Thinking back, the last week has had some great catching up with friends, me and Toni went round to see Michael and had a proper good chat over a couple of beers before me and him headed to Town and ultimately Poptastic (to meet Lisa, Ben and others) with Toni returning home due to Kyle-induced wearyness. Not of Kyle himself but because of the working hours his show dictate North Korean style on the staff.
Also, earlier on tonight, after narrowly missing phone calls for a couple of days, I got to chat to Sofi for an hour. We went to Uni together and you know when you call an old mate and can chat about a plethora of stuff old and new, for an hour, without any awkwardness, tedium or pauses? Yeah that. It's beautiful, isn't it? It made me feel very cheery!
On Sunday morning I discovered that I'm now down to my lowest ever adult weight (14st 7lb), getting back to swimming has certainly helped things but I never, ever thought I'd reach this weight! I've not even been trying to lose any, as I was happy being under 15st. Now, I just want my groin tear to properly heal at last. I've tempted fate enough on that topic so I'll just end the sentence here.
Oh and I'll be appearing on a Rose West documentary (thanks to Cludge!) as someone who slept with Rose when she was a prostitute..!
